To meet the urgent needs of Colombia's internally displaced population (IDPs), CHF International is working to provide basic humanitarian needs as well as shelter and psychological assistance to those persons fleeing from violence and instability.

CHF International is implementing a 4-year program focused on economic revitalization in the five target areas of Port-au-Prince, Petit Goave, St. Marc, Gonaives and Cap Haitien. The ultimate objective of the program is ensuring social stability through job creation.

CHF International has been working continuously in Honduras since 1985. Our two current programs are increasing the agricultural productivity of small farmers in El Valle and engaging at-risk or unemployed youth in Progreso in targeted vocational training programs.

CHF is currently working in partnership with several foundations to implement a housing program and administer small loans for the improvement and creation of basic housing needs, based on the income level of maquiladora workers.

The economy of Peru is beginning to develop after a long period of strong government control and a recession in the 1990’s.  The slow economy made local development difficult and many areas now face housing shortages.
