Although the bricks and mortar of CHF International's work has long been integrally bound to communities, habitat and finance, we sometimes engage our field staff in other critical initiatives that are in line with our overall mission.

Inside Cross-Cutting Themes

	HIV/AIDS We are leveraging our core expertise in fostering community partnerships, economic empowerment and infrastructural improvements as part of a multi-sectoral response to HIV/AIDS.
	Enhancing Peace and Stability More than US$99 million of CHF programming directly enhances stability in Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
	Investing in Youth CHF International works to develop employment opportunities, training and other catalysts for youth civil participation and education.
	Gender Mainstreaming CHF International places a priority on the engagement of men and women in productive opportunities through attention to gender mainstreaming practices. As a result, our projects have made it possible for women to contribute, and for men and women to collaborate more effectively toward building prosperous and peaceful societies.
	Participatory Action for Community Enhancement (PACE) CHF developed the PACE methodology to build capacity of the community members themselves to collectively make decisions.
