CHF International has been implementing tsunami response activities in Indonesia's Aceh Province and in Sri Lanka’s Galle and Matara Districts since mid-January, 2005. Following a rapid assessment of the situation, CHF initiated a series of quick impact projects serving tsunami-affected communities.

CHF International, a world leader in post-disaster and post-conflict housing, understands the importance of long-term solutions for communities in the wake of natural disasters. As a result of our successful public/private partnerships and ongoing government support, CHF International has made considerable progress since December 2004 in improving affected communities economic opportunities, long-term housing and quality of life.
