Communities worldwide depend on water for their inhabitants’ survival. Over a billion people lack access to clean drinking water. Over twice that number lack access to appropriate sanitary facilities.

Water impacts health, food, climate, transportation, and industry. Inadequate water resource availability and management can lead to disease, malnutrition, poor economic growth, and conflict. CHF International recognizes the challenges communities face to effectively address their water needs, and works to implement durable projects to improve water resource sustainability and sanitation concerns.

CHF International has completed numerous projects to improve water resource management, flood control, drinking water supply, sanitation, and irrigation globally and continues to work toward long-lasting positive change.

A cadre of skilled technical experts with extensive experience are on staff, including hydrologists, engineers, architects, community organizers, and planners. Together, they provide guidance in the practical matters of program design and implementation and technical assistance to address various water needs. CHF International has contributed to water management in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Serbia, Lebanon, and Uzbekistan.
